MPCH and Socura Join Forces to Keep AI Agents Under Human Control

Socura applies ATLAS, MPCH’s AI Authorization Control Plane, to real-world security operations scenarios to enforce human control over autonomous AI.
NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MPCH, the top provider of high-assurance cryptographic security infrastructure, today announced that it will join forces with Socura, a UK-based Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, to test ATLAS, MPCH’s AI Authorization Control Plane, in Socura’s security operations. Socura will use ATLAS to verify that AI agents used in threat detection and response cannot act, such as isolating a device, blocking a user, or changing a system setting, without authorization from a human operator.
The effort combines MPCH’s cryptographic security expertise and Socura’s experience in cybersecurity operations to evaluate ATLAS against emerging security challenges. MPCH brings a proven track record of securing critical operations through its defense subsidiary, Ti22, supporting the U.S. Department of War and government institutions around the world. This experience positions MPCH to understand and deliver solutions that address the evolving demands of increasingly data-centric and distributed operations.
Traditional cybersecurity has focused on protecting systems and identifying malicious activity, but AI agents have evolved from answering questions to executing actions, introducing a distinct challenge in ensuring no system can act without authorization. ATLAS addresses this gap by enforcing authorization before execution, helping organizations prevent unauthorized execution and maintain human control at every layer while accelerating AI adoption.
ATLAS is a control layer that applies cryptographic authorization to agentic AI and enables operators to define the boundaries within which AI systems can execute. Its capabilities include a kill switch that stops an AI action mid-execution when it exceeds those boundaries. ATLAS also supports cold-signed approvals, with keys held offline in air-gapped secure cryptographic storage sites, so that no AI system or remote attacker can authorize the most sensitive actions on its own. Human-defined authority remains central to the process while verifiable records provide evidence for review and accountability.
“AI is changing how organizations operate, but security and authorization cannot be an afterthought,” said Miles Parry, founder and CEO of MPCH. “Working with experienced cybersecurity teams like Socura allows us to test ATLAS in real-world operations and build a solution that organizations can confidently rely on. Our goal is to make sure we are solving actual security problems, not just theoretical ones.”
“In supporting clients across a wide range of industries, we see firsthand the challenges organizations face as they integrate AI into their businesses,” said Andy Kays, CEO of Socura. “AI agents introduce a distinct risk with their ability to act beyond their intended authority, potentially exposing sensitive data or disrupting critical operations.”
“Maintaining human control over these actions is essential,” added Jamie Brummell, founder and CTO of Socura. “We see significant potential in ATLAS to help organizations enforce those boundaries, and we’re excited to work with MPCH to explore how this approach can enable secure, accountable AI adoption.”
The collaboration marks an important step in bringing ATLAS into demanding environments, providing MPCH with a practical use case to apply the platform to the evolving security requirements of AI-driven operations.
