JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AvePoint (Nasdaq: AVPT; SGX: AVP), the AI Trust Company, today announced the AvePoint Trust Platform, which empowers organizations to govern, secure, and optimize AI. The platform makes data AI-ready, governs every agent across its lifecycle, and keeps the business resilient when AI gets it wrong – independent of any single cloud, model, or AI provider. The launch includes new AI Governance, Security, and Cost Optimization capabilities, broadening observability to Anthropic Claude, Windows, and server-hosted agents, as well as the tools, MCP servers, and the models agents are accessing.
AI Will Find Everything Organizations Forgot They Had
For decades, most enterprise data has been protected by the fact that nobody was searching for it. AI has ended that. A copilot or agent reads everything it is permitted to read and can act on it thousands of times an hour, without breaking a single rule. According to AvePoint’s State of AI 2026 Report, 88.4% of organizations experienced at least one AI agent-related security incident in the past 12 months, including those confident they could prevent unauthorized AI access to data.
What AI Trust Means
The solution to this challenge is what AvePoint calls AI Trust: the ability to prove that AI runs on governed data, with least-privilege access, under policies enforced at the moment of action, with audit evidence and full recoverability. If any one of these cannot be proven, the AI is not trusted – it is merely running. AI Trust works alongside the security and identity tools enterprises already run to stop intruders. AI Trust governs what trusted people and agents can reach and do and enables rapid recovery when something goes wrong.
“Every organization now has access to the same AI capabilities. What truly sets them apart is how far that AI can safely reach, what permissions it actually has, and whether there’s a way to reverse course when it makes a wrong call. That’s the real test of AI Trust, and it’s the foundation for this new agent-driven era,” said Dr. Tianyi Jiang (TJ), CEO and Co-Founder, AvePoint. “For 25 years, we’ve been understanding how enterprise data behaves in the real world, not just in theory. The AvePoint Trust Platform brings that understanding to every agent, model, and partner that touches that data. It operates independently across vendors and technologies, because in today’s world, risk doesn’t stop at the vendor’s edge.”
Introducing the AvePoint Trust Platform
The AvePoint Trust Platform takes enterprises from unmanaged AI to measurable trust across every agent, application, model and AI vendor, and is built on four disciplines: Observe, Protect, Govern, and Optimize.
- Observe: See what AI can reach. The platform discovers sanctioned and shadow agents, including those built by citizen developers, and shows which content is overshared, stale or unlabeled before an agent finds it.
- Protect: Keep the business recoverable. Backup and recovery for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SaaS applications such as ServiceNow, and cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud extends to agents themselves. A Copilot Studio agent, including its configuration, logic, prompts, topics, and flows, can be restored to a known-good state.
- Govern: Govern every agent across its lifecycle. Each agent is assigned an owner, policy, and data sensitivity context, with business-owner attestation and recertification delivered in Slack, Teams and email, from discovery to retirement.
- Optimize: Turn data and AI consumption into value. The platform eliminates unnecessary content, improves prompt effectiveness and brings visibility to token consumption and budgeting so organizations can focus AI resources on the information and initiatives that matter most.
“As organizations scale AI, they need the right foundation to innovate with trust and without introducing new risks,” said Randy Simmons, Sr. Managing Director, EY AI Workplace Practice. “AvePoint addresses a critical need we are seeing in the large enterprise market, giving organizations more visibility, control and protection as their AI environments grow. We believe that together, EY and AvePoint can help our clients rapidly scale AI with greater trust and confidence.”
The AvePoint Trust Platform can detect and prevent risk before it happens, roll back what an agent changed, and issue signed charters that define what each agent may do. The four disciplines are built on AvePoint’s Governance Graph, which joins global regulatory intelligence, such as the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, with each organization’s business context: its owners, policies, information barriers and the purpose of every workspace and agent. The Graph is designed to learn how an organization makes decisions, from owner attestations to the conversations where decisions happen, so each ruling applies to every operation that follows.
New AI Governance and Security Capabilities Give One View of Every AI Asset
New AI Governance and Security capabilities give security, IT, and compliance teams a single system of record for every AI asset in the enterprise, from discovery through policy enforcement, to audit-ready evidence. These include:
- AI estate visibility and governance: AI Inventory, AI Dependency Graph and Shadow AI Detection capabilities discover agents, models, tools, MCP servers and other AI assets, map the relationships among them and to global regulatory frameworks, and identify unsanctioned activity.
- Agent monitoring: Enhanced policies identify ownerless agents, monitor agent access and sensitive content, and apply governance directly to the agents acting on behalf of employees.
- Continuous data security and classification: Expanded DSPM and Kinetic Classification capabilities give organizations more precision in defining risk, identifying and tagging AI-generated content, and connecting classification and risk insights to automated remediation.
New AI Cost Optimization Shows Where AI Spend Pays Off
AI Cost Optimization brings AI spend, usage, and adoption data together so IT and Finance teams can more precisely evaluate the return on their AI investments, particularly as Gartner projects AI spend will grow 49.5% in 2026. New capabilities include:
- AI budget requests: Replaces budget requests managed through email and spreadsheets with a structured process that gives employees a way to request additional AI budget, and gives managers usage and ROI context to approve, adjust or deny those requests.
- AI adoption coaching and nudges: Identifies where utilization is low and delivers targeted guidance that helps employees use licensed AI tools more effectively.
AvePoint Adds Anthropic Claude and MCP Server Discovery
The AvePoint Trust Platform also now supports Anthropic models and MCP servers, and discovers and inventories agents built with Anthropic’s Claude and connected MCP servers, alongside agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Foundry, Google Vertex AI and Salesforce Agentforce.
