The American Cornhole Organization has completed the ACO World Championships of Cornhole Season 21, held this past July at the Owensboro Convention Center in Owensboro, Kentucky. The multi-day event brought together top-ranked competitors from across the country and around the world to determine season champions across professional and amateur divisions.
The American Cornhole Organization Worlds 21 served as the culminating event of a season that included the ACO Majors Tour, regional tournaments, and state championships. Players earned their standings through points accumulated across sanctioned tournaments throughout the year, with the highest performers advancing to compete for world titles at the Owensboro venue.

The championships featured competition across multiple divisions, Singles, Doubles, Coed Doubles, Seniors and Juniors including the ACO Pro Series, ACO Pro Series Skins and the Taigator Series. Spectators filled the convention center to watch matches unfold, while a broader audience followed the action remotely through the organization’s digital network.
“Season 21 represented one of the deepest and most competitive fields the organization has seen since its founding in 2005,” said Frank Geers, Founder of the ACO. “Owensboro provided an outstanding setting for the World Championships, and the level of play across every division reflected how far the sport has advanced.”
The event underscored the organization’s emphasis on American Cornhole Community Family Fun, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels alongside seasoned professionals. Competitors ranged from first-time championship qualifiers to veterans who have appeared in world finals across multiple seasons. Local and traveling spectators attended throughout the week, contributing to the community atmosphere that has become a defining feature of ACO events.
Coverage of the championships extended well beyond the convention center. Matches were streamed through ACO Worlds 21 Youtube Live 24/7, allowing viewers unable to attend in person to follow featured matchups, highlights, and full games in real time. The organization’s YouTube channel, @AmericanCornhole, has served as a central hub for cornhole content, hosting live streams of tournaments and archived footage from past events.
“Making the World Championships accessible to viewers everywhere remains a central goal for the organization,” Geers said. “Continuous streaming coverage allows fans, families, and aspiring players to experience the intensity of championship play regardless of where they are located.”
The ACO maintains official rules for the sport of cornhole that are followed in sanctioned events worldwide, along with world standings that track the top players in each division throughout the season. Results and champions from Season 21 have been recorded in the organization’s standings, which document performance across the full slate of points-earning tournaments.
With the conclusion of the Season 21 championships, the organization now turns toward preparations for the seasons ahead, continuing its role in governing and growing the sport at local, national, and international levels.
The American Cornhole Organization is the official governing body for the sport of cornhole and has operated since 2005 from its base in Camp Dennison, Ohio. The organization sanctions tournaments, publishes official rules, maintains world standings, offers memberships, and provides certified equipment and gear for players across all levels of competition.
