Korean Scalp Care Brand HISTEMO Brings Its Professional Program to the US

Yewon HISTEMO offers US salons and scalp specialists a Korean scalp care program built on growth factors, peptides, products and training.

SOUTH KOREA, November 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Yewon HISTEMO Co., Ltd., the South Korean company behind the scalp and hair care brand HISTEMO, is expanding its professional scalp care program in the United States. The company offers salons and scalp care specialists not only products, but a full program of scalp care steps, product lineups and training based on what it calls K-scalp care.

From Hospital Products to 1,500 Korean Salons
HISTEMO products were first launched in 2012 for use in hospitals. From 2015, the brand expanded to hair salons and scalp care centers. Today, HISTEMO is used for professional treatments at more than 1,500 hair salons, dermatology clinics and scalp care centers in Korea, according to the company.

The company was established as a separate corporation in 2018 and set up a dedicated research and development department the same year. HISTEMO now exports to 14 countries, including the United States, Canada, Qatar, the UAE, France, Switzerland, Morocco and Hong Kong.

Built on Growth Factors and Peptides
HISTEMO describes itself as a scalp and hair loss care brand built around growth factors and peptides. Its professional products use Intocell growth factors, a patented ingredient that combines a cell-penetrating peptide with growth factors. The company says this structure gives much higher skin penetration than conventional growth factors.

Several HISTEMO products also contain Dendropanax morbifera (Hwangchil tree) leaf extract, an ingredient covered by a Korean patent for a hair growth improvement composition. It is used in the brand’s Ultra Scalp Care Shampoo, Nutritioner, ION-TO G and ION-TO T.

In Korea, the Ultra Scalp Care Shampoo and ION-TO T were certified in 2022, and ION-TO G and the Nutritioner in 2023, as functional cosmetics for relieving hair loss symptoms.

A Program for Professionals and Home Care
HISTEMO’s professional line includes the Ultra Growing 1st Powder, ION-TO G and the ION-TO S scalp deep cleanser. For home care, the brand offers the Ultra Scalp Care Shampoo, the Nutritioner, a scalp and hair nutrition pack, and the ION-TO T scalp tonic.

The company’s scalp care program follows six steps: scaling, circulation care with aroma oil, cleansing, nutrition, strengthening with ampoules matched to scalp type, and protection with a hair essence. HISTEMO supports professionals with in-store training, regular classes and certification courses, and has worked with Korean beauty universities including Yeonsung University and Gwangju Women’s University.

Presence in the United States
HISTEMO set up a US distribution branch in New Jersey in 2019, and registered its products under the US FDA’s MoCRA framework in August 2024. The brand has exhibited at the International Beauty Show in New York and Cosmoprof in Las Vegas, and is an official seller on Amazon USA. In Manhattan, a salon dedicated to HISTEMO scalp care and Korean-style skin care introduces Korean scalp care to local customers.

HISTEMO has also completed EU CPNP notification and has trademarks registered in markets including the United States, the UAE, Qatar, China and Vietnam.
