Longview Research Partners, an investment management firm on the leading edge of evidence-based investing products, announces the firm and chief investment officer Matt Zenz are finalists for ThinkAdvisor’s Luminaries Awards 2026.
Longview Research Partners is a finalist for Best Product or Service Innovation, for its efforts launching the Longview Advantage ETF (Ticker: EBI) via Section 351 exchange, an effort that was so successful, it established the blueprint for how future 351 exchanges would be executed in the industry moving forward. The 351 exchange effort allowed EBI to launch with $440 million in AUM, an industry leading amount for a 351 exchange at the time of its launch.
“We built Longview around a simple idea: the investment industry can keep getting better,” said Longview co-founder and partner Matt Hall. “Better products, better structures, better tax outcomes and ultimately better results for investors. The recognition for EBI is meaningful because it reflects a lot of creative work by our entire team, and I’m especially proud to see Matt Zenz recognized individually. His combination of intellectual curiosity and willingness to challenge convention is at the heart of what we’re building.”
Zenz is a finalist for Chief Investment Officer of the Year, leading the efforts of launching and managing not only EBI, but also Longview Advantage Fixed Income ETF (Ticker: LVIG), a rules-based fixed-income ETF designed to improve after-tax outcomes.
“Innovation for its own sake isn’t the goal,” said Zenz. “We start with a real investor problem and ask whether there is a better way to solve it. With EBI, that meant rethinking both portfolio design and the mechanics of transitioning highly appreciated assets. With LVIG, it meant asking how fixed income could be designed with greater attention to after-tax outcomes. We think there are still plenty of accepted industry practices worth questioning, and that’s what makes the work ahead so exciting.”
Zenz’s work on EBI and LVIG reflects Longview’s broader focus on combining evidence-based portfolio design with thoughtful product structure, particularly where taxes, implementation and investor behavior can materially affect real-world outcomes.
