The new waterfront resort will welcome guests with a variety of accommodations that bring beloved Disney stories to life through the beauty of nature
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Disney Vacation Club shared a first look at the guest rooms coming to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, a new waterfront resort opening July 1, 2027, at Walt Disney World Resort. Nestled along the tranquil shores of Bay Lake and just a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom Park, the resort’s thoughtfully designed accommodations will offer a serene retreat where guests can experience the beauty and wonder of nature as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers.
Following recent announcements about the resort’s distinct dining venues, interactive recreational offerings, unique amenities and natural design elements, these room details offer a closer look at how Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will deliver a distinctly different vacation experience, blending the wonders of nature with the magic of Disney storytelling.
The all-new resort will feature 967 guest rooms that blend artistic references to classic films with natural materials and earthy color palettes influenced by the great outdoors. From intimate duo studios and spacious villas to one-of-a-kind waterfront Lake Houses, each space will be designed for travel parties of all sizes to make the most of their Walt Disney World vacation.
A New Way to Stay on the Shores of Bay Lake
Unique to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, Lake Houses will offer families an even closer connection to nature. These freestanding one- and two-bedroom retreats will provide ample space to relax and unwind along the edge of Bay Lake. Each Lake House is designed with dramatic A-frame architecture and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the interior with light and lake views.
Accommodating up to five or eight guests, respectively, each Lake House will feature a private porch overlooking the water, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. Throughout the interior, guests will find artwork that celebrates Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Brother Bear,” with nods to the film’s Alaskan setting and themes of nature and discovery. Inside the primary bedroom, a striking Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature will cast a peaceful glow as guests unwind after a day of adventure.
Accommodations Celebrating Disney Stories Rooted in Nature
Designed especially for couples and solo travelers, duo studios will draw inspiration from the vibrant spirit of Disney Animation’s “Encanto.” Each colorful, cozy retreat will include a kitchenette, a spa-like split bathroom and a queen-size pull-down bed that conveniently tucks into the wall when not in use, seamlessly transforming the space from day to night.
Inspired by the woodland charm of Disney Animation’s “Bambi,” deluxe studios will feature warm natural materials, original concept artwork from the archives and living spaces designed for up to four guests. A kitchenette, private balcony and comfortable seating area will create a welcoming space for families to unwind and refresh after a day at the Disney Parks.
One- and two-bedroom villas will also be rooted in the storytelling of “Bambi,” with soft earth tones, subtle forest motifs and artwork reflecting the film’s natural landscapes. Designed for larger travel parties, one- and two-bedroom villas will offer full kitchens, washers and dryers, private patios and spacious living and dining areas, accommodating up to five and nine guests, respectively.
Three-bedroom grand villas will draw inspiration from Disney Animation’s “Fantasia,” blending artistic elegance with expansive accommodations. Sleeping up to 12 guests, each grand villa will feature premium amenities designed for multigenerational families, including ample gathering spaces, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen and a private patio with premium water views.
Elevated Resort Accommodations
In addition to deluxe villas, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will offer resort rooms that draw inspiration from the natural beauty of Disney Animation’s “Pocahontas.” Resort studios will accommodate up to four guests, while resort studio king rooms will accommodate up to two guests. These accommodations will feature earthy colors, carved wood paneling with artistic nods to Grandmother Willow and scenic murals that bring the film’s sweeping landscapes to life.
Select accommodations will include access to The Artist’s Nest, an elevated concierge lounge perched above the treetops where guests will enjoy personalized service, complimentary refreshments and sweeping views of Walt Disney World Resort.
For guests seeking an elevated experience, the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will offer peaceful views of Bay Lake by day and spectacular views of Magic Kingdom Park fireworks by night. Accommodating up to six guests, the suite will feature two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer and concierge lounge access.
Staying in the Magic at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
Guests of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will be invited to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature at The Wetlands, a sweeping outdoor recreation area just beyond the lobby. Designed for guests of all ages, The Wetlands will feature a whimsical wet and dry play area inspired by the music and storytelling of Disney Animation’s “Pocahontas,” a lazy river and a zero-entry pool complete with a spiral water slide.
Guests will also enjoy a variety of distinct dining experiences that highlight the resort’s connection to the natural beauty of Bay Lake.
- Moonglade, a signature table-service restaurant, will offer waterfront dining with beautiful views of Bay Lake.
- Bay Lake Provisions will serve as the resort’s all-day marketplace, featuring fresh fare, specialty coffees and a bit of hidden magic.
- Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will offer casual poolside dining and a collection of original artwork created by Imagineers showcasing the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
In addition to its deluxe accommodations and amenities, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will offer all the benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, including extra time in the Disney Parks and complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort, with convenient water transportation to Magic Kingdom Park.
