Dimitra Releases Connected Farmer Community Edition and Cooperative Edition

Extending smallholder farmer access globally.

VIRGIN ISLANDS, BRITISH, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dimitra, a global agricultural and sustainability technology company, has released direct web access to its Connected Farmer platform, launching Connected Farmer Community Edition for individual farmers, Connected Farmer Cooperative Edition for farmer organizations.

The announcement follows Dimitra’s recognition as “2026 Overall AgTech Solution of the Year” in the AgTech Breakthrough Awards.

Until today, that infrastructure reached farmers primarily through governments, cooperatives, and enterprise programs across more than 30 countries. Community Edition and Cooperative Edition create a direct path in, alongside that existing work rather than replacing it.

Across agricultural operations, a farmer is often requested to provide records for traceability, a compliance review, and a lender’s request, none of these requests working from a single shared digital record. Connected Farmer Community Edition and Cooperative Edition are built to close that gap: one record, built once, that a farmer or cooperative can use across whatever comes next.

Connected Farmer Community Edition gives an individual farmer free access to Dimitra’s farm technology, with no upfront software subscription. A farmer can register their farm, map its fields, record crops and activities through the season, and build a digital farm history that is theirs to keep, independent of any single cooperative. It is available on the web today, with mobile access coming soon and paid plans, adding more farms, additional deforestation checks, higher satellite and AI reporting limits for satellite reports, land suitability, crop anomaly detection, and more, launching October 1.

Connected Farmer Cooperative Edition gives farmer organizations a similar starting point, also free to start. A cooperative can register and manage its members and their farms, build and send surveys across its network, and publish a recommended crop calendar for its farmers to follow. Every member also keeps the same farmer-level tools available through Community Edition. Cooperative Edition is likewise available on the web today, with mobile access coming soon and paid plans for larger networks, adding farm capacity and higher reporting limits for crop progression, land suitability, anomaly detection, satellite reports, and more, launching October 1.

The platform is not limited to a single crop. Connected Farmer supports more than 50 commodities, from coffee and cocoa to palm oil, rubber, soy, and avocado, within one connected system. Coffee and cocoa currently have the most developed workflows and reporting, with crop-specific tools for additional commodities rolling out over time.

Across both editions, Dimitra draws a clear line on data. Farmer data remains farmer data. Cooperative operational data remains cooperative data. Joining or leaving a cooperative does not change who owns that information; access between a farmer and an organization is granted by permission, not by default.
